Towards a Just Peace in Israel and Palestine
South African Women Call for an End to the Ongoing Humanitarian Catastrophe Taking Place in Gaza
South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID), established in 2003, call on their South African, African, and Global Sisters to support them in a call for an Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza to put an end to the intolerable human suffering being inflicted on civilians, and to end what is according to international law a Genocide in Gaza. This war, just more than a month old, has already led to the deaths of more than 12 500 people, overwhelmingly Palestinian civilians, almost half of them children.
